Diabetic Foot Care

Diabetes is a condition that manifests in changes in the foot as well as overall infectious and circulatory issues. The podiatrist needs to be both mindful of the diabetic patientsʼ overall condition as well as aware of common symptoms. The development of ulcerations in the foot is common in this population. Special attention must be paid to the wound care of diabetics due to a decrease in their healing potential.
